"Camino de Santiago is a condensed reflection of our lives", I heard this sentences from one of the pilgrims I have met. It was then my first time on the Camino and at the end of it, in Santiago, I proposed to my then girlfriend and now my beloved wife. After more than 600 kilometers in the saddle. Yes, we rode the Camino on the bikes then... Shortly after returning from Spain, I have started to feel a strong desire to return on the trail. Camino as a reflection of our life took on new meaning. I began to look at it more closely and I started spending more time on exploring phenomenon of pilgrimage to Santiago. The need for understanding and finding this magnetic force that attracts so many people grew in me. Over time, the idea to present the Camino in the pictures was born. Photographs of the Camino are inspired by those people. By those conversations and visited places and their aesthetics and emotions. Each person portrayed has been asked to write a few words as an answer to question "What Camino is/means to you?". Their personal testimonials can be read from the cards of my notepad where they hand-typed their thoughts …
This is just the beginning of the project that excites me because there are so many people to meet and a lot of stories to hear. The evaluation of my personal Camino - the project on the road where people are free from being judged for their external appearance, which is often the first barrier encountered on a social communication level, the barrier often impossable to overcome but yet, so insignificant ...
